Screen time is often passive, and parents feel it
Most screen time for young children is passive. Parents feel guilty about it and struggle to find activities that match a child's age, attention span and learning goals. There is also no easy way to turn a video into real-world play.
Interactive video plus a toolkit for the grown-up
Hellosaurus is built on interactive video: children join the story by tapping, speaking and using the camera. This site gives parents the companion toolkit. It helps them plan interactive sessions, pick age-fit activities and extend each story into offline play.
A parent hub for the Hellosaurus app
The Hellosaurus app is interactive video for ages 2 to 8 on iOS. This site is its playful parent hub: a Session Planner, a Story Match quiz, a Sound and Movement Game Bank and three AI helpers that turn a story theme into questions, play ideas and a wind-down routine.
Your plans, quiz results and stars stay in your own browser. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.
How we earn
The app is sold by subscription on iOS. The site brings in parents through useful free tools and sends them to the app. It also supports partnerships with creators and museums, as in the earlier collaborations with The Wiggles and the Children's Museum of the Arts in New York.
Make every minute a child spends on a screen an active one that builds language, curiosity and movement, and carry that play into the living room and the classroom.
